Simply put I absolutely love these lipsticks !! My favourite out of the three is Strawberry Daiquiri but I love all three of them!  I find them moisturizing which is a pleasant surprise considering they are matte lipsticks. There is no "smell" emitting from these lipsticks which is a big bonus for me ! I got mine off cherryculture.com when they had that yearly NYX sale so they set me back $4.00 each !! Crazy cheap !!! I love these so much that i ordered more !!

BH Cosmetics Brush Sets Review

I recently ordered some brushes from bhcosmetics.com
I got the 24 piece synthetic brush set RRP:$28.00
& the 15 piece wild purple brush set RRP:$25.00
Also grabbed myself a mini makeup brush belt RRP:$7.00




15 PC WILD PURPLE BRUSH SET came with a synthetic leather roll up brush case with tie up closure. Personally I would have liked a magnetic closure but anyway still looked pretty professional

 I really liked the color of these brushes !
(purple is my fave!)
The brushes and case did have a "plastic" smell to it was expected.
Three of the brushes came with a brush guard that was made of hard plastic.

These are the brushes without the plastic packaging and pvc brush guards.
Looks decent enough..right?

24 Piece Brush Set came with a synthetic croco leather brush roll
also in black similar to the one with the 15pc only shiny and much bigger !

A few of the eye brushes on the 24pc is really very similar.. some might say they are the same.. the only difference is the angle of the brush bristles.

The blender brush (3rd from left) is a little disappointing. It is way too flimsy to be able to blend out harsh lines.

 These are probably some of the brushes that I would definitely use from the 24pc set. Although I don't know why they added a sponge tip applicator.

The brushbelt is NOT a MINI !

I love how this belt has a flap to protect the brushes!

I guess you could load this up with your fave brushes

then off you go !

I was pleasantly surprised at the size of this belt,

from the photos on the website it doesnt seem like

    much but its a great sized belt !

 storage for 12 brushes and a large single compartment for

other bits and bobs like cotton tips & sponges.
I love this belt !!

The adjustable buckle and fastener on this is divine !
So easy to adjust without much effort !
A little tip though the belt runs a little on the small

side so if you are a fuller figured lady this might not

be the right belt for you.

Nails of the week

Just a quick post about my favorite nail color this week!! I am totally loving OPI dulce de leche!!! The color is so pretty!! Honestly this horrible iphone camera doesnt do it justice!!

The color is of a brownish rose tone and is very flattering ( for my skintone anyway ).

Nail Polish Haul : China Glaze & Essie

I have been swamped with packages this last few weeks since I've been doing some crazy shopping lately. Im going to stop after I get a few more things..I promise ! So anyway among those packages is my nail polishes !! yayayayayyayay !! I practically screamed for joy when I saw the DHL man come up my driveway !

Everything was well packed, mind you I was baffled when I saw the OPI boxes..
but turns my china glaze polishes were in there !!

Each polish was wrapped in bubble wrap and placed into the box and
wrapped with extra bubble wrap !!

OOOOOOOHHHHH so pretty !!

OMG how pretty are these essie polishes?! I love sweet pastel colors as they suit my
very tanned skin. I think its obvious I love pink shades ALOT

I couldn't resist not doing my nails that night !! I super love this color, I couldn't really catch its true beauty. Its super pretty ! It shimmers lilac in natural lighting and sometimes almost silver !

I couldn't thank my partner enough for buying this for me as a valentines day present.. I have been hinting it out since January that I needed to upgrade my D:fuse straightening iron *smiles*
Mind you, that iron has lasted me 2 years and is still in perfect working condition !! So I guess I will be taking that one with me when I go back to Manila in November.

I know you guys are probably going to think I'm weird BUT I feel bad just using my GHD. I don't even want to touch it LOL. I kinda just open the box and stare at it haha.

Meizitang

I know I have rambled on about how much weight I gained with my second baby but honestly as long as my partner doesn't see me as unattractive I guess I'm fine, but I wish I could say the same about other people *rolls eyes*

So anyway my mum has been bugging me about loosing weight and she introduced me to Meizitang. At first I didn't believe all the stories she was telling me about her mutual friend losing so much weight while on this herbal pill but then again i was keen enough to try it, after all my birthday is just a month away and maybe I can loose abit before then.

I started taking Meizitang almost two weeks ago and I can definitely say I have lost weight, 5kg to be exact. I'm so ecstatic, I'm over the moon !! I'm trying to contain myself from buying heaps of small clothes ! I cant believe I was skeptical ! *smiles* Anyway I am going to start a diary log on my weightloss with meizitang !! I will update every two weeks on my progress.

Baby weight = depression

I have been feeling depressed this week, due to the fact that i look TERRIBLE. I know it's only been two months but I know I am very overweight now since having my second baby. I can't seem to look good in anything I wear and my mum keeps telling me she thinks im bigger than her *sigh* it's so depressing when people around you keep telling you that you are bigger than before..in my case ALOT bigger! I have been thinking about joining the gym to try and shake some weight off me but as i stepped on a scale today I realized I have gained more than 26 kilos with my second baby. Why oh why has my body turned against me?! Why can't my body realize that I want to get rid of the weight when my baby is born??! Arhh so frustrating!! I can't believe I gained soo much weight when my baby was only 2.725kg when she was born! How unfair is that?! I could have at least had a bigger baby!!! huhuhuhu im so sad now =(

Hello World !!

As you all know I haven't been posting for a long while due to not having internet connection (haha who can live without internet nowadays?! obviously me!! lol) and also being that I was pregnant just made things a whole lot more difficult to do especially with an energetic 3 year old on hand.

So anyway I finally had my baby !! I was glad to finally have it over..I swear if it went on any longer I would've gone insane !! My baby was born 10 days early from the due date because the doctors who took care of me decided it would be better for my sake and the babys if they induced me. They did however make me suffer before finally inducing me. I was in and out of hospital and also had to stay for few days due to my high blood pressure and they didn't want to "risk" anything with me as I had sever pre-eclampsia with my first born. Driving back and forth to hospital was starting to get at me not only was the parking TERRIBLE, the drive was excruciating as it took 40 mins just to get there. Imagine having to go through all that effort 3 times a week with a 3 year old !!! I was exhausted !!

At last it happened, on July 20, 2010 my baby girl Mikeila Jade was born weighing 2.725 kg. I was so lucky to have such an easy labour the second time around !!

guess who's got the internet back?! i was ALMOST dying without my internet connection but i still managed to pull through !! i was going crazy trying to check everything out on facebook mobile, which i must say they kept changing therefore I had trouble logging into my account. Anyhoo I am now 20 weeks pregnant !! Hooray I'm finally mid way through my pregnancy !! I had horrible backpain all through my first trimester and also my 4th month but luckily bubby has been nice to me and eazed the pressure off my back ! Hooray for mobility !! lol I was almost crippled from the pain and I could barely walk then !! so happy now that its not as bad as it used to be !!

i hate virgin wireless broadband

the title practically sums up this post. I have been with virgin broadband for probably two years already but they always seem to never have a steady connection. That said i tend to loose my internet connection for days, sometimes even weeks (like now! Grrr!) if you are wondering how im actually typing this post out i am on my trusty nokia e71 (makes typing a breeze!!) but please virgin.. I would

quick lil update!

in less than 24 hours it will be february!! how quick does time fly?!
anyway guess what?! i am 14 weeks already ! *smiles* im on my second trimester !! it seems just like yesterday when i was feeling like crap and now look at me three months ahead !!..and still feeling like crap :(

my back is killing me. seriously i don't even have a visible baby bump *yet* but i feel like there is immense pressure on my back. luckily enough i haven't gained any weight yet..quite the contrary in fact i have lost weight ! i guess you could say i am fortunate this time around as i dont crave any junk food.. unlike my first where i ate 2 soft serve ice creams & apple pie from McDonalds EVERYDAY. i gained 30 kgs by the time i gave birth.. and i gave birth to a bean !! do you know how shocked i was to find out he was only 2.380kgs?! i was baffled.. i thought i was gonna have a big baby but there he was... tiny as a premie !! *LOL* anyway i am managing to control my backpain by using salonpas day in and day out. hehehhe enough of my pregnant bitching !!

anyway with february just around the corner i was starting to think about what to get hubby for valentines day. i dont think i will be getting him anything costly this year as we are awaiting our new lil bub and we need the money to cover hospital bills. maybe you can help me?? any ideas??

New Years Resolutions !!

MY NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS !!!
( hopefully I would be able to do at least half of them )

1. Finally sit my STAT test.
okay okay I've honestly been holding this off for 2 years now but something just keeps coming up on me ! :(

2. Thoroughly clean my room every weekend.
lets face it, its hard to clean when you have kids. enough said

3. Not to buy any baby items until I find out the sex of my lil one.
realisticly this is very hard for me to do. i have been scouring through shops since the boxing day sales and i have *thank god* resisted pretty well.. for now

4. Move out of my parents home.
the opportunity is finally so close ! hubbys buying us a house as soon as he has time to search for a decent one within our price range !

5. Loose weight after baby.
i gained 30 kgs during my first pregnancy and lost half now im on my second pregnancy and i am taking better care of myself than first, but hopefully i dont gain another 30kgs or else i would have way too much weight to loose! :(

New Lenses !!!

Hi all !!! I hope you all had a great Christmas and a happy new year !! I haven't been blogging since because the hubby was here for the holidays and we wanted some quality time together, which is hard to do when you have a 3 year old.

My cousin is getting married on January 17 and I am lucky enough that she choose me to be one of her bridesmaids !! I guess you could say I'm way too excited for my own good !! I've already bought things I need for after the wedding ceremony so I can dance the night away ! My cousin has been generous enough to let us keep the bridesmaid dresses after the wedding though I wouldn't have a clue why I would want to wear it again but nevertheless its still awesome! I was quite worried that my cousin would get married later in the year but due to circumstances she had to fast forward her plans (thank god!) or I might not be able to fit into my dress !! Anyway since the wedding was coming up I decided to get myself some new lenses to wear since I will be photographed and all ! I wanted to look my best and of course not upstage the bride but anyway as always with shoppingnspree I got my lenses in record time !!! I don't buy my lenses from anyone else but felicia !!! I'm so happy with my purchases !!

My Christmas Wishlist

I know Christmas is just around the corner but I'm gonna list the things I want and cross out what I actually get !

1. Marc Jacobs Daisy - I fell in love with the scent and just couldn't give up $150 for a bottle.. lols im guilty of being stingy.. on myself !
2. Olympus e450 DSLR Camera - I've been wanting an slr camera for ages and wouldn't it be great to snap pics of my new little one when it arrives?!
3. Rayban Mirrored Aviators - I swapped my mirrored one with my hubbys gold aviators and I accidentally broke the gold one.. now I have no sunglasses to wear !
4. Gift card.. from target/kmart/big w - Well I would love to get one of these just because I want to stock up on baby items while they're on sale !

Thats about all of the things I want right now. Its not much but hopefully I get my slr !! Can't wait for Christmas !!!!

Verdict:

First of all I absolutely love the smell of this gorgeous powder ! Smells like baby powder but not as strong, very subtle. The powder itself is very fine, almost to the same grade as mineral powder but you don't have to "buff" the powder into the skin as it adheres very well. As for color I got the #2 Natural Beige and I must say I was skeptical about the color before I purchased, I knew it was either going to be too dark or too light but not with this! I was extremely happy to have the powder nicely blend with my skin tone ( I wear beige neutral in everyday minerals). The powder is very light and I would say it is comparable to mineral makeup, I didn't feel like I had it on and it certainly didn't look like I had anything on! The compact itself is very pretty compared to the normal plain round ones available on western cosmetics. I really love taking this out of my purse because its a total eye catcher in pearly pink !

Overall I give this a 4.5 out of 5 simply because I would've loved it if the compact was bigger but what the hey?! Its almost perfect !

Code B Strong Eyes Cream Liner

Verdict:

This is my first dable into the unknown.. I have never used cream or gel liner before, but I'm glad I stumbled upon this little gem! I got the liner in #01 Strong Black and I must say that it is the blackest eyeliner I have ever come across. Application was easy in terms of how smooth the eyeliner went but I had difficulty making a thin line and controlling my pressure on the brush. I was surprised at how soft the eyeliner was because it looked like it was hard but as soon as I dipped my brush into the jar I knew it would be best if I go softly next time! A little goes a long way with this product as it is very black and you wouldn't have to go over the line again to get that intensity sometimes hard to achieve with a pencil alone. I also love the little liner brush that comes with the liner but I hesitated to use it as it looked to nice to be used ! Both the liner and the brush come with a little keychain thingy that makes it easier to take with you and never get lost in your bag !

Overall I give this product a 5 out of 5. I couldn't find fault in it !!

Guess Who's Back?!

Okay I admit I have neglected my blog for a few months, but could you forgive me?? I have been extremely busy these past few months.. especially now I'm expecting baby #2 !!! I must admit this came as an unexpected suprise but hey? Who am I to question gods doing right? Anyway this pregnancy has left me feeling very exhausted ! I am always feeling like I'm being dragged by my weight and seriously I could barely get myself up some days. I hope I start feeling better once I hit my second trimester and all this sluggish feeling will leave me to enjoy my pregnancy !! Hopefully I would be able to put life back on my blog and start updating again real soon !!

OCM - Oil Cleansing Method

I have been looking for a natural and painless way to clean my pores..because lets face it mine is almost always clogged. I have very bad disgusting pores on my nose and over the years I have come to obsess about these little monsters that make my life that little bit harder. I usually squeeze the living daylights out of my nose. I know it sounds gross right? but I am actually addicted to doing this at least 3 times a week. This past week I have been plagued by annoying pimples across my forehead.. and my partner is coming down for a holiday ! So I've been jittery and anxious looking for ways to get rid of them before he comes down..and thats when I stumbled upon OCM. When I first read it I was skeptical.. I mean how can oil help an oily t-zone?! It seems that media and most everything we read say that any oil on your face will equal to pimples/blackheads/ whiteheads etc etc. but contrary to that the philosophy of OCM devotee's is that oil dissolves oil. simple right? This sounded pretty convincing to me so I decided to take the plunge and try OCM.. I will update you lovely ladies on my skins progress.

As you can see I have 3 BIG pimples on my forehead.. I always get pimples when I am on contraceptive pills ! I hate them !! grrrr !!
